'Not another DJ' is how Gioli Lipari & Assia Nania were described by LAWeekly magazine. The two DJanes and musicians from Palermo approach the music scene with fresh energy and creativity. Here you don't just turn the knobs, but also drum, pluck and sing. All of this is on its way on wide soundscapes. The videos are in a class of their own, as all the equipment including the wing is carted onto the Etna. The video from the Andromeda Theater in Sicily is also outstanding. The electro-pop Due, which is also a couple in private, has different roots. Gioli classic with the piano, Assia from the art direction. You can see both combined in the video productions. The music is mixed with real played instruments, the look is extremely aesthetic. Diligent as the two of them are, they also founded their own record label. Diesis Records. When nasty viruses are not on the way, the two are on tour across the club scene on our planet. For us as cover music radio, the two are a special case. As DJanes, of course, they cover a lot of music, but also bring in their own parts and songs. Partly mixed together. So here's what we liked best:

Die beiden DJanes und Musikerinnen aus Palermo gehen auf die Musikszene mit frischer Energie und Kreativität ein. Hier wird nicht nur an Reglern gedreht, sondern getrommelt, gezupft und gesungen. Das alles ist auf knallbreiten Klangteppichen unterwegs. Die Videos sind noch einmal eine Klasse für sich, da wird auch schon einmal das ganze Equipment samt Flügel auf den Etna gekarrt. Ebenfalls herausragend ist das Video vom Andromeda Theater auf Sizilien.
Das Elektro-Pop Due, das auch privat ein Paar ist, kommt mit unterschiedlichen Wurzeln daher. Gioli klassisch mit dem Klavier, Assia aus der Kunstrichtung. Beides vereint erkennt man in den Videoproduktionen. Die Musik ist durchmischt von real gespielten Instrumenten, die Optik ist äußerst ästhetisch.
Fleissig, wie die beiden sind, haben sie auch gleich noch ihr eigenes Plattenlabel gegründet. Diesis Records.
Wenn nicht gerade fiese Viren unterwegs sind, sind die beiden auf Tour quer durch die Clubszene unseres Planeten.
Für uns als Covermusic Radio sind die beiden ein Sonderfall. Als DJanes covern sie natürlich jede Menge Music, bringen aber auch eigene Parts und Songs ein. Teilweise miteinander vermischt. Deshalb hier einfach mal das, was uns so am besten gefallen hat:
